A good figurine location is stable, easy to enjoy and away from conditions the maker advises against. A shelf that looks attractive in a photograph may still expose a piece to heat, sunlight or accidental knocks.

Observe the light over a day

Check whether direct sunlight reaches the spot at different times, not only when you first arrange it. A shaded morning shelf can become a bright afternoon windowsill.

Material and finish responses vary, so follow the product's advice rather than assuming every resin, clay or brick figure tolerates the same exposure. A display cover is not automatically ultraviolet protection.

Notice nearby heat sources

Avoid unsuitable proximity to radiators, heaters, hot appliances and lights that warm the display. A window can also create a warmer environment than the surrounding room.

Do not use a universal temperature claim from an unrelated material as reassurance for a mixed-material finished object. Paint, adhesives and accessories may impose different limits from the main body.

Check everyday movement

Choose a level surface away from edges and routine paths for bags, sleeves, doors or pets. Clear enough room to lift the base safely when dusting.

For a tall or heavy piece, confirm that the shelf and its mounting are suitable. Our shelf-planning guide explains the information to check without guessing a load rating.

Keep the arrangement maintainable

Leave space between figures so a brush or hand can reach them without catching nearby accessories. Consider a suitable case if dust or casual contact is difficult to manage.

Keep the object's care instructions with your order details, and revisit placement when furniture or seasonal sunlight changes.

The best location is not necessarily the most dramatic one. A quieter interior spot with a clear view and predictable conditions often makes it easier to preserve and appreciate a personal keepsake without constant rearranging or risky cleaning.
