What is a custom bobblehead?

It is a small figure made from your own photos, with the head set on a small spring so it nods when you tap it. Every 3D design in our shop is made as a bobblehead by default. If you would rather have a figure that stays still, choose Standard figure under Style on the product page. The price is the same either way.

What sizes are there?

Our polymer clay bobbleheads come in 10, 14 or 18 cm (about 4, 5.5 or 7 in). Most people choose 10 cm (about 4 in) for a gift, while 14 and 18 cm (5.5 and 7 in) have real shelf presence.

How does ordering work?

Choose a design, pick the size, and add clear, well-lit photos on the product page (up to 10 per item), or check out first and email them to hello@voxelpals.com. More photos of other people, pets or outfits can also be sent later by replying to your order confirmation. Once we have your photo, the first photos, of the sculpted face, arrive in about 3–4 days. We send you photos at every step: if anything needs changing, just tell us. Once you approve, your bobblehead is finished in about 8–12 days (we send you photos of the finished figure before it ships), then shipped with tracking, which takes about 10 days.

How long does delivery take, and what does shipping cost?

We ship worldwide and shipping is free. Delivery time depends on your country and starts once we have your photo. Import duties and taxes are handled by our shipping partner.

Can I cancel if I change my mind?

Your figure is sculpted by hand in polymer clay from the start. You see photos of the face first, then the finished figure before it ships. You can cancel for a full refund before the sculptor starts; once we’ve confirmed your order and sculpting has begun, it can’t be refunded for a change of mind. If it arrives damaged, defective or different from your proof, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will remake it free or refund you in full.

How is a custom bobblehead made from your photo?

A familiar face, an oversized head, and a little nod when you tap it: that’s your personalized bobblehead. A sculptor hand-sculpts each made-to-order figure in polymer clay using your photos, then oven-bakes and hand-paints it. The finished figure sits on a polished base.

Figures of people come with Style set to Bobblehead by default, with the head mounted on a small spring. Prefer a fixed head? Choose Standard figure under Style—the price is the same. Pets always have fixed heads, even when they appear beside a person.

Starting prices for your figure

These US store prices are for the Figure only packaging option, starting at the 10 cm size. Premium gift packaging costs an additional $5.

Which size should you choose?

Figures of people come in heights of 10, 14, or 18 cm. For a bobblehead of yourself, choose the height that suits your display space. Standalone dog figures come in 6, 8, or 10 cm; standalone cat figures come in 6 or 8 cm. See the size, price, and delivery guide for more details.

How ordering and delivery work

To make your own bobblehead, choose your figure option, size, and Style, then upload up to 10 photos. Each file can be up to 12 MB in JPG, PNG, or WebP format. You can also order first and email your photos later to hello@voxelpals.com.

The sculptor makes the head first. We usually send photos of it within 3–4 days of receiving your photo. Once the head is right, the hair and body take about 8–12 days. We send photos of the finished figure before shipping.

Shipping is free and tracked. Most orders arrive 20–25 days after we receive your photo, and US import duties are included in the price.

Hand-sculpting vs. a photo-to-3D app

Your figure is a sculptor’s stylized interpretation of your photo, not a scan. Rather than turning a photo into an on-screen model, the sculptor shapes polymer clay by hand, then bakes and paints the physical figure.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a custom bobblehead cost?

3D Mini You starts at $99 for a 10 cm figure. Larger sizes and other figure options have their own prices; choosing Bobblehead or Standard figure under Style does not change the price.

What photos do I need for a bobblehead?

One clear photo of each face is enough. A full-length photo helps with the outfit and posture. Our photo guide explains what to send.

Can I get a bobblehead of my dog or cat?

Pets are never made as bobbleheads. You can order a fixed-head pet figure or include your pet alongside a person whose head bobbles.

Can I add accessories to my bobblehead?

Small handheld props, such as a bouquet, book, cup, or ball, are free. Bigger props and scenes are quoted separately before anything is charged.

Can I cancel my bobblehead order?

You can cancel for a full refund before sculpting starts. Once sculpting begins, a clay figure cannot be refunded for a change of mind. For damage, defects, or differences from what was approved, contact us within 14 days of delivery for a free remake or full refund.
