The photo does half the work

Your figure is built from what we can actually see. Two minutes picking the right picture is the difference between “that is them” and “close enough”.

Send us this

Any phone from the last ten years is plenty. What matters is the light and the angle, not the megapixels.

  • Illustration: a person facing the camera with the whole face visible

    Face the camera

Straight on, or a gentle three-quarter turn. The likeness is built from the face, so we need to see all of it.

  • Illustration: a person lit evenly by soft daylight from a window

    Find flat daylight

Next to a window, or outside in the shade. Even light is what tells us hair colour, skin tone and the shape of a smile.

  • Illustration: one person standing alone in an otherwise empty frame

    One person per figure

Crop to whoever is being built. For a duo or a crew, send one good photo of each — they do not have to be from the same day.

These make it hard

None of these are a refusal — they just cost you a round of questions before we can start.

  • Illustration: a person backlit by a bright window, face lost in shadow

    Light behind the head

A window or the sun behind someone turns the face into a silhouette. There is nothing left in there for us to read.

  • Illustration: a person wearing large sunglasses, a cap and a face mask

    A covered face

Sunglasses, a low cap or a mask hide exactly the details that make someone recognisable. Put them in the order notes instead and we will add them back.

  • Illustration: several small distant people scattered across a wide empty frame

A crowd, or standing far away

A small face in a wide group shot has nothing left once we zoom in. Closer always beats higher resolution.

Only have one photo and it is not perfect? Send it anyway. We will look at it and tell you honestly what we can get from it before anything is built. Ask the studio first

Your call, not ours

What you get to choose

Everything here goes on the order form in your own words, comes back to you on the design, and can still be changed after you see it. Nothing is a paid extra unless the product page says so.

The outfit

The outfit

Copy what they are wearing in the photo, or ask for something else — the wedding dress, the team kit, the lab coat.

Hair, glasses, beard

Hair, glasses, beard

Colour, length, a fringe, a moustache, the glasses they never take off. This is where the likeness actually lives.

How many figures

How many figures

One, two, four, or the whole household — arranged on a single base so it reads as one scene.

The pets

The pets

Same breed silhouette, same markings, same faintly unimpressed expression, built to the right scale beside you.

Something to hold

Something to hold

A bouquet, a football, a coffee cup, a guitar. Props are what turn a figure into a story.

The occasion

The occasion

Graduation, a wedding, a first day, a birthday. Say what the moment was and we dress the whole scene for it.

Something on this list missing from your idea? Describe it in the notes box and we will tell you whether it can be built before you pay for it. Pick your figure

The approval round

Nothing gets built until you say yes

You see it before it exists
Your design arrives by email 2–3 days after we have your photo, as a single front-facing build image. Brick figures are assembled from a fixed catalogue of parts, so there is no model to spin — the front view is the view the piece is designed around, and it shows the exact hair, outfit, colours and props before a single piece is placed.
Photos at every step, changes on request
Different hair, a different outfit, a different pose, a prop swapped out — we send photos at every step and make changes on request.
Your approval is what starts production
Not your payment, not the clock. The first piece is only touched after you reply that you are happy — until then your order is a conversation.
If it cannot be done justice, we say so
If your photo will not give a confident likeness, we tell you before anything is made rather than shipping something that is nearly right.

    It gets made

Once you approve, assembly starts. Every piece is placed and checked by hand, not by a machine.

GREAT REFERENCES MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Show us what makes them, them.

Example of a couple portrait and a wedding figurine design
01

A clear view of the face.

Use natural light, keep the eyes visible and avoid strong filters. An extra angle helps us understand the hairstyle and expression.

02

The outfit and little details.

Include the clothes, colours and shoes you want. Separate close-ups are useful for meaningful details and accessories.

03

Everyone in their place.

Separate portraits are welcome. Tell us who is who, who belongs together and how you would like the group arranged.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

A few little answers.

All questions
Can I include more than two people?

Yes. Our occasion pages show the available group sizes, including two, four and six people on selected designs. Check the people selector before you order.

Are the scene backgrounds included?

Standard figures can be ordered directly. Floral arches, furniture, backgrounds and additional scene accessories are quoted separately. Contact us about the setting you have in mind.

Will I see the design before it is finished?

Yes. The sculptor sends photos at every step: the face first, then the finished figure before it ships. If anything needs changing, just tell us.

What photographs should I send?

Choose clear, well-lit face photos and add useful outfit or pose references. Separate photographs work well when you do not have a group picture.
