What Makes a Good Custom Figure Brief?

A good custom figure brief gives the maker a clear subject, a consistent visual direction and a practical scope. It does not require you to become a sculptor or write an exhaustive description of every facial feature.

Define the result in one sentence

For example: “A stylized couple in our anniversary outfits, standing together on a simple base.” This establishes the people, occasion, style and basic composition.

Use the sentence to test later additions. If a suggestion turns the project into a full room scene, recognize that as a scope change rather than a small decorative adjustment.

Attach a reference map

Label which photo supplies the face, hairstyle, outfit and pose. For a group, use consistent person labels so each detail belongs to the correct character.

Include the clearest original files available. Explain uncertainty or image enhancement instead of presenting reconstructed details as factual reference information.

Name priorities and constraints

List a few essential cues, such as glasses, a particular coat marking or the intended expression. Then state practical constraints: people count, preferred size, display footprint and any event date that needs discussion.
