A group of figurines looks more intentional when the display has space, a clear focal point and practical access. Start with the shelf and the objects you own rather than trying to fill every available inch.
Choose one organizing idea
Group by a shared memory, similar scale, color family or a simple story. You do not need every figure to match, but one connection helps the arrangement feel coherent.
Try placing the most meaningful piece first, then add others around it. If every object demands equal attention, the display can become visually crowded even when the shelf is not physically full.
Vary height with suitable supports
A stable display riser can help shorter figures remain visible behind taller ones. Check the support's size, stability and intended load instead of stacking improvised objects that can shift.
Keep bases fully supported and leave clearance around projecting accessories. A raised arrangement should remain easy to handle and dust without reaching awkwardly over fragile pieces.

Leave breathing room
Separate silhouettes so faces, clothing and pets do not merge visually. A small gap can make each figure easier to appreciate than adding another decoration between them.
Check the display from the angle at which you normally see it. An arrangement that looks balanced from directly above may hide the back row when viewed from a chair.
Make care part of the layout
Keep the maker's environmental guidance in mind and avoid unsuitable heat or direct sunlight. Leave enough access to lift each base safely without moving the whole collection.
If the shelf is too crowded, rotate a few pieces into suitable storage rather than forcing everything into one display. Our seasonal storage guide covers that approach.
Photograph an arrangement you like before changing it. Over time, the display can evolve with the memories it represents while still remaining calm, readable and easy to maintain.
